BEHIND THE SCENES.

LOCATION:

PRODUCTION DAY:

On the day of the shoot, We spent the whole day filming our opening sequence in a cafe, it was quite challenging. We started in the morning to get those soft natural lighting shots, and stayed until the night when we could bring in those neon tones for the time-pass scenes.

Setting up took longer than expected, some people ran late, while the phone that the shots were supposed to be on [an Apple Iphone 13 pro] ran out of charge. but once we got into the flow, things started to come together. The actor absolutely nailed the emotional scenes — the close-ups especially hit hard. We used a mix of POV and wide shots to show the feeling of isolation and dissociation, and I think it worked even better than anticipated. The breaks we had in between the shots really helped all stay grounded, and hence made the production work a tad bit easier.

There were a few challenges like some lighting inconsistencies as the day progressed, and tight timing as we had sum it all up in a single day — especially when setting up more complex shots (along with the constant disturbance of the staff, people giving us side-glances, and almost losing our footage once), However, having the script in front of us and a vision in mind, really helped us stay guided. but overall it went nicely.
